2013 Racing Schedule and New Sponsors!

I'm pretty excited about the new opportunities that have opened up for me as a athlete and a race director this past year.  I just began a new Facebook page for my running-- it was the next logical step in dealing with the tricky personal/public side of social media and also as a way of having a page more focused on my running.  You can visit it here and I' be honored if you liked my page!

2013 Sponsors
The biggest change for me is joining the Salomon team.  This is giving me the opportunity to focus more on my running and to travel more, two things I truly love!  For the past 6 months I have been sponsored by my local running store, Fairhaven Runners and Walkers, and this year is no exception.  Also a big thanks to Smith Sunglasses!

2013 Races and Adventures
The year wouldn't be complete without some big adventures planned.  I love racing, but my heart is with the running adventures that are not organized by other people, but rather are a dream of mine that I plan out and then do!  This year my biggest challenge on the adventure front will be attempting the entire Tahoe Rim Trail, all 170 miles of it... in one go.  My planning is still in the process, or more accurately, I have yet to do my planning.  Lake Tahoe holds a special place in my heart as I spent one of my first summers away from home camping, partying, inline skating, and running there. 

I'd love to break my FKT on the Wonderland Trail next summer as well, but I am not sure I will find time to do that. My year is more focused on the 100 mile distance than anything else, and I kicked it off finishing H.U.R.T. 100 this past month (Jan 19-20).
