Fear

"I've been absolutely terrified every moment of my life and I've never let it keep me from doing a single thing I wanted to do." ---Georgia O'Keeffe

The artistic genius of Georgia O'Keeffe transformed modern art in both her time and in the present. What I love about her quote is that it really applies to following your dreams and I find it very useful in illustrating how one has to overcome their fear to do amazing things.  I remember driving to my camping spot the night before I was to do the Mt. Rainier solo 93 mile circumnavigation and thinking, what have I gotten myself into?!  I was scared, but I knew I wanted the adventure complete with the fear, bliss, and intensity of such a  physical and spiritual journey.

On another note, here's a bit about the shoes that I have been wearing.  I am looking forward to trying them at HURT100.
Salomon  Speedcross 3 "Racing Product"
The speedcross is great in the mud with its wide lugs.  It feels light and comfortable with plenty of room in toe box and it has the quick lacing that never comes undone while you are running!
