What does Winning Mean?

There is no need to be particularly amazed by a physical achievement.  We achieve these incredible things, all of us, everyday through consistent practice: the parent who raises a child, a beautiful garden, a creative meal, a piece of art, a great album... it is the cumulation of years of practice.  Like a flower that blooms once every 7 years or a moving piece of music, these achievements seem amazing and awe inspiring in the moment they come to fruition, but in truth they happen slowly, over time, with great patience, and lots and lots of practice.  An athletic achievement like winning a race, setting an FKT, or even simply running your first marathon are all moments suspended in time that came about because you focused your great energy and creativity on them.  Believe in yourself, practice, enjoy the process.
